The Mini Simmons needs no introduction, I have whittled on previously about Lindsay Lord and his development of the planning hull which used and funded my the Mafia in US Prohibition time to outrun coastguard boats to Cuba and back. So I won't repeat it. Let's just say there is a special place in the office for the words 'mini' and 'simmons' via the work that Bob Simmons did applying the theory to surfboards back in the 40's and 50's.
This mini version of the Simmons board realized in 2005 by Joe Bauguess that started the revolution of modern surfboards we all take for granted today is still as mesmerising to watch being surfed today as it was then.
