Why over complicate things? Sometimes surfing can be a simple as having a lot of fun and changing things up. When a friend (thanks Josh) fired the details through about these Slide fins I could not believe I had not heard about them before.
Depending on which stance you are or which way you want to slide you purchase the relevant set of Slide Fins. On your bottom turn the fins lock in and behave like any normal fins, on the top turn they fold and tuck in under your board letting you, well, slide. Simple, huh?
Having watched the video above I now have an overwhelming desire to test a set of these out, they look like fun and I wonder if a normal to crap surfer (me) would find it easy, how I would make the adjustment and of course how much fun I would have.
I have contacted them to see if they would like to lend me a pair for the arvo and fingers crossed I will get the thumbs up.
Slide Fins look like an awesome way to have fun.
