If there is one thing I've realized when meeting people from different countries around the world, it's that people are generally intrigued by California. I imagine that most people would place it on their top 5 list of locations they'd like to visit in their lifetime. While I (along with most surfers) dream about the warm water perfection that can be found at island nations like Indonesia, people want to come to California because of its fame and image. And the truth is, the place is all it's cracked up to be and more. We have our days of good surf, but it really isn't about our waves at all. It's about the feeling of being here and the beauty of our coastline.

My name is Cameron and I'm the United States West Coast connection to the Surf Bunker Community. My goal is to connect you to the people you want to know, and the places you want to be when you're in my regional surfing community: the best shapers, the local surf shops, the comfortable and affordable places to stay, the post surf meals that hit the spot, and the sneaky ding repairmen.

Coming from the small town of El Segundo in the South Bay of Los Angeles, I've grown up in an area with a rich surfing history. Surfing legends such as Hap Jacobs and Greg Noll influenced shapers like Tyler Hatzikian to carry a certain soulfulness with them into their craftsmanship, and that soulfulness translates into incredible surfboards. Whether you're looking for a short board or a long board, the South Bay offers a wide range of talented shapers, and Surf Bunker is your connection to the lot of them.

Between the local surf shops and individual surfers of the LA area, there are literally thousands of surfboards available for rent or purchase. As a traveling surfer, I know the value of this. The opportunity to buy and sell surfboards as you go, and not have to worry about paying to travel with your boards from home, provides you with a huge advantage. And for local surfers, this is your one stop shop for finding new and used surfboards for purchase in California.

While the majority of my connections are in LA, I will also focus sharing connections from San Diego, Orange County, Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Along the California Coast there is a plethora of waves. There is also a plethora of people, but like most places, uncrowded surf spots can be found by those willing to search for them.
