Top Three Reviewed Products for 2017

I double dare anyone to think of anything cooler than surfing. If you can come up with a good answer, you would still be wrong.

Here at Surf Bunker we like to celebrate quality, ingenuity, eco mindedness and giving back to the surfing world. Some things that don’t interest us are the same old t-shirt with a different logo, or some mass produced plastics made in a far off land with a famous person's name on it. What we do like to celebrate is a genuine new thought of product or service that will better or enrich a surfer's life. We keep our ear to the ground for these products and have managed to snag a few examples of this ethos to test and give feedback to you, our valuable readers.

Our reviews are one hundred percent honest and say it how it is, we actually test the items and write about them. The word is credibility, something that seems a little lost in the world of paid adverts and signature series, pro endorsed products.

Without further ado I give you a review of our reviews for this year. The top three products that we liked the most in a bronze, sliver and gold medal type scenario.

Number Three (Bronze) – Revlowe Sustainable Products

Jan Persson is the man behind this unbelievable product and has laid his eco cards on the table to create a truly sustainable product that most surfers use everyday. The leash.

Each Revlowe leash is made from a combination of PET recycled plastic bottles, Yulex natural rubber which is FSC Certified and thirty percent recycled Thermoplastic Polyurethane. The result is a leash that has the lowest carbon footprint on the market and has an undeniable feel of supreme quality.

Number Two (Silver) – needessentials Wetsuits

Needessentials is a wetsuit brand which is all about giving back to the surfer by making a good wetsuit that has no gimmicks and no flashy jargon and cuts out the middle man. Their prices are pretty much unbeatable and the product is one that works very well.

We have been testing the needessential wetsuit for over a year and have had literally no issues apart from being warm in the water, looking cool in ‘ninja black’ and being super comfortable.

Need don't have to pay sponsorships, they do not sell in shops so there is no mark up, they just offer quality wetsuits at an (in our opinion) wallet friendly price.

Number One (Gold) – Van Der Waal Deck Grip

Without a doubt this product is a game changer for surfers everywhere. You really do have to try it to believe it. We have given Wan Der Waal Surf Grip to many casual surfers and they have all reported back with glowing testimonials.  Imagine never having to use wax again and using a product that seems to enhance your surfing experience. This is it.

Not only is Van Der Waal (in our opinion) the best product available in its field but it is also one of the easiest on you wallet. We loved the product so much we have two different styled articles on it. The first is a more factual based and the second an emotional response to a writer's first and second surf using Van Der Waal.

Personally I have been using this product since I heard about it and can’t rave about it enough. Martim and Alonso are the founders of Wan Der Waal and have no delusions of grandeur, they are not looking to be millionaires but instead give something back to the industry which reflects in the price point.
