The biggest focus of the surfing populous, believe it or not, is the effort being made to transition towards a more eco minded footprint. Surfing comes from a toxic, dusty and petrol (gas) guzzling V10 engine of the past and is currently doing it's best to imitate a sleek and smooth solar powered electric motor.
Sure, we are making wax from beeswax, leashes from recycled plastic and making a very slow move to more eco friendly surfboard construction. But what you see in this video is the next level of clean. The applications of the tech in the 'Mothership' are mind bending.
If we, as surfers, can utilize this knowledge and incorporate it at a production level, imagine what real change we could achieve.
