GLORY DAZE Hybrid retro outline and rocker with shortboard design elements making it choice for many surf conditions.
THE BOARD The outline of a 60’s twin fin in the first half of the board to a tight pin tail found in the 70’s Pipeline guns. The shape is easy to paddle yet with a modern tri fin set up can turn tightly in the pocket with speed and control down the line and face of the wave all session long. A flat rocker curve accelerated at the nose for late take offs or pulling into and turning at a waves steeper section without pearling. The lower curve going back to the tail helps the board generate momentum keeping the speed and fun up in smaller surf. A rail shape with full volume almost round radius in the front. After the middle begins fading into a tighter low volume 60/40 profile shape to reduce drag rolling into a typical down rail out the tail. Concaving is shortboard like in its design. The nose starts with a slight round V into flat forward of the middle for increased paddling power. At middle a medium depth single concave dividing through to a double concave out the fins with slight V out the tail. Add the speed of the board quick rail to rail responsiveness and hold. SURF CONDITIONS Designed to be ridden in most conditions from small sand bar beach breaks to 10’ overhead barrels off shallow reefs. For beginning to expert riders, a go to board for any surf condition.
